MIRABILIA COLLECTION

Madonna of the Garden

25 cm x 42 cm

This is my most recent Mirabilia project.  I took some liberty in making it my own by changing the sky and adding the light from above.  I have also used a smaller count aida.  I like working on even smaller count than the 18ct, which this was but where beads are used, they barely fit for this cloth.  The picture has been dry-cleaned but not yet stretched and framed.

I enjoy doing the beading but the gold filament takes a quite a bit of patience

The Rose of Sharon

26 cm x 46 cm

Rose of Sharon was completed last year (2017) It was a quick project since it didn’t require any beading of filament work.  I often change the fabric recommended in the design, choosing a similar aida for number of projects to main consistency when displayed together.

This work is also finished, dry-cleaned but needs to be stretched and framed.

Collection of free Christmas Cherub Patterns

Before Christmas 2017 I wanted to get into Christmas mood and found these free patterns on the Mirabilia website. The images are roughly 15 x15 cm. These were fun little projects that took about one week each to make. They still need to be stretched and framed.

English Roses

This was my first Mirabilia project and I stuck to the directions as close as possible, using 32 count Desert Sand Linen cloth. The beads were substituted by the closest match from a local craft store. No silk ribbon used.
