Healthy whole wheat French toast

To enjoy French toast yet still keeping it healthy I substitute whole wheat bread for the traditional thick slices of white bread or brioche.

Ingredients:
  1. Whole wheat bread 4 slices
  2. 3 eggs
  3. 3 tbs milk
  4. Pinch of salt
  5. 2 tbs oil
Directions:
  • In a large frying pan heat the oil on medium high heat
  • Whisk together eggs, milk, and salt
  • Dip slice of bread in the egg mixture
  • Fry few minutes on each side until golden brown
  • Serve with maple syrup
